No audio over HDMI C200
This problem seems to have appeared since my latest firmware update.

I'm getting no audio at all over HDMI.

I've reset to factory defaults, toggled between passthrough and downmix (although my receiver should be capable of handling all formats).

To eliminate the receiver as the culprit, I set everything on downmix, and connected directly to my TV. Playing a simple mp3 file, still no audio.

I've tried different HDMI cables. I've just about run out of stuff to try, please help!

try changing the resolution and hitting save then reboot and see if audio comes back.

RE: No audio over HDMI C200
No dice, but here's another strange thing that's started happening at the same time:

When I power the unit on, there's no video over HDMI. I need to wait for the boot to finish, then toggle in and out of standby mode to get any video.

Very strange...

I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with it.

As a temporary workaround, I've switched to composite/TOSLink, which works fine.

For some reason, I cannot do video over HDMI and audio over TOSLink.

Are there any repair options for a faulty C-200 if this is the best I can do?

Cheers.

RE: No audio over HDMI C200
Sounds like you have video set to Auto.
Never set your Video to Auto.

Not the case.

Video was set to 1080p 24Hz, played with 60Hz also.

TV - Sony KDL46W3000
Receiver - Pioneer VSX-1021-K

It was working perfectly on this configuration until I updated the firmware. Nothing else changed.

RE: No audio over HDMI C200
No issues there...
best advice I can give you is to run a recovery FW followed by the latest FW.
I have not seen any similar issues with this FW upgrade so I assume the configuration settings in your system got corrupted..

RE: No audio over HDMI C200
Well....this is embarrassing....

Ran the recovery firmware, same issue.

Completely took the unit out, and looked in the HDMI port, at some point, one of the pins had got bent (no idea how). I managed to straighten it out with a pin and get it roughly back in place, and now everything works fine again.

Thanks for the help, sorry for being a doofus Smile
