USB stick and NTFS HDD
Since my last HDD died I bought a new WD20EARS drive which is formatted to NTFS. I want to use a 4GB USB stick to load the NMT apps and use this NTFS HDD as media storage.
The PCH boots fine with the USB stick (ext3) inserted and loads the NMT app. If connect the HDD to SATA1 or SATA2 the PCH is remains stuck on the loading... screen. If I disconnect the USB stick, the PCH boots without loading the NMT apps and finds the ntfs HDD with the media folders on it. Can anyone help on this issue? Or is it impossible to use an USB stick together with a NTFS HDD? Thanks for any help! |

RE: USB stick and NTFS HDD
how long did you wait on the loading screen before hit the power button?
PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central 4TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

RE: USB stick and NTFS HDD
The PCH didn't boot anymore this afternoon and the lights were flashing red green on the mobo with a clicking sound. This means the PSU is now broken as I 've read on this forum elsewhere. I suspect the boot problems started with a faulty PSU because of the random recognitions of USB and HDD.
