need help with nmt connecting to smb shares with router/repeater
hi i have a popcorn setup wired to a wireless repeater flashed with a DD-WRT firmware. the popcorn ip is 192.168.2.111, the repeater ip is 192.168.2.1, my main router is 192.168.1.1, and the computer with the shared folders i want to access is 192.168.1.99. when the popcorn was on the main router i had no problems accessing the shares. but since i plugged into one of the ports in the wireless repeater i cant connect to any shares. the internet works fine i updated to the latest firmware on the popcorn. any ideas how i can access the shares?

RE: need help with nmt connecting to smb shares with router/repeater
the pch needs to be able to see the share try setting the subnet mask on the pch to 255.255.0.0 assuming your pc is 255.255.255.0 this will allow the pch to see the 192.168.1.x subnet Now you might not be able to browse the network to find the share you might have to manually enter the ip address and share name under add share

ok the network share doesnt come up with the error now, it just says no content, i cant few the folders in that share. also in network browser it shows my workgroup, but only shows the popcorn, not my pc.
