MKV problems with Popcorn Hour A-200

hi, I need some help!

My popcorn Hour A-200 won't play some of the latest MKV's, anybody got the same problems?

one of the files it won't play is the season finale of game of thrones ripped by EbP.
Game.of.Thrones.S02E10.720p.HDTV.DD5.1.x264-EbP

when i try to play it the PCH immediately says "could not play".

I've tried to open the game of thrones file with a older version of mkvmerge (v5.5.0 "Healer") and Remux it again after i did this i was able to watch most of the episode up to about the 35 min mark and then it just stopped. and i can't press the "time seek" or Arrow buttons, but i can still FF/RW.

anybody experienced the same problems?
or is there anyone there can shed some light on what to do to resolve this problem?

People put out bad encodes all the time. You might be able to mkvwdclean it otherwise you'll need to get t again from another group. Fyi immerse is also not a good choice

I don't think its that EdP is usually quality. and i have two other new files that wont play and they all play on min PC.

isn't that just to remove Header stripping?? but I'll give it at try..

And the best ones also have mistakes go out and get nuked. Don't know if this is the case for this episode but there's a lot of releases of it, and since a remux worked mkvwdclean might help with whatever is lingering in the middle

I know. but it hasn't been nuked and everybody else seems happy with it. the remuxed version only partially worked it suddenly stop half way every time. and that was with a older version of mkvmerge. i have tried to remux with the latest version and that file wont play too..

I have made a cleaned version with mkwdclean. and that one only works for a couple of minutes and then it says could not play.. I remuxed one of the previous episode with the latest mkvmerge and that file won't play too. so its probably something with the new mkvmerge. but cant figure out why remuxing with a older version wont work.

Remember muxing is just transfering the tracks to a new container and if the problem is the stream then a new container may not do all that much..

I don't think your going to really be able to do too much with trying to make it work at this point. Good report so someone could take the file and investigate it more. Perhaps a different version is in order so you can enjoy the episode.

I don't think you read the info file.

i dont think that is is
all the other episodes from season 2 is the same way with 2.0 and 5.1 and they work.. i have another movie that doesnt work either. they are both written with the same version of mkvmerge:

and also the same writing library witch is:

the episode before this one ie. S02E09 -EbP is made with the same version of mkvmerge but uses an older writing library and that one works.

I'm confused.. Is there some reason you can't try what the nfo instructions say to do? it's in the nfo, aka the person who released it not only gave more timecode but istructions on how to use it if it doesn't work in your player.

thats not from the nfo for the file. dont know where that is from.

that doesnt work either. and since it just the newest episode of game of thrones along with some new movie titles i knew that it was another problem. i can post the media info for all that doesnt work if any one is interested?.
( on a side note, does anybody know when a new firmware is coming out. that might solve this, what ever it might be.. )

okay it wasn't in mine sorry. but that is for episode 7 and that one works. so that also proves it is something else that is the problem..

now you've downloaded that one can i persuade you to DL episode 10 as well and try to see if you can play that one?

2-4 weeks MIGHT be the a200 release of the newest firmware. there's still major bug fixes from the last c200 happening and generally it's 2 weeks after the c200 firmware that an a200 firmware comes out.

Couldn't tell you if it will play this file.. it's a strange release.
