More than one Jukebox
Hi
I have a new shiny A300 to replace my trusty old A110, both of which have local storage (WD 1TB disks) On my A110 I have the films in more than folder this way its easy fo4r the kids to get to their films in the KIDS folder and all my stuff is in a separate folder I have been searching the threads but am struggling to find an answer Can I separate the two sets of films into separate Jukeboxes when they are stored locally? Many thanks in advance for your help |

RE: More than one Jukebox
Yes you can if you make sure that you scan inside a folder rather than scan at top level.
So you can have a Kids Movies folder and when inside that folder you can do a NMJ scan. Then the output nmj_database folder will also be inside the folder rather than at top level. You can create a second folder for your movies and again make sure that when scanning with NMJ you are within the folder and not just at top level. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

When I navigate to the 'kids movies' folder via the 'local media' icon and select Jukebox Manager it creates the nmj_database folder in root even though I was in the 'kids movies' folder. I can then add other folders but they are all part of the same jukebox. Apologies if I have missed something |

RE: More than one Jukebox
Well I know that I have managed to create nmj_database folders at a lower level then I wanted but that was on my network share.
Try having both folders (adult/kids) inside your Video folder. Then go into the actual kids folder and press to scan. Then see at what level the database is saved. If its in the Video folder then create a second Kids Folder and drop down a level and scan again and see at what level its created. Try having two folders at root level one called Kids Jukebox and One Adult Jukebox. Then inside a further folder of the same name. Then scan when in the second folder and see where the database folder is created. What's your structure? Worse comes to it you could use an external USB HDD for one of the locations. Then the jukebox would also be on the USB HDD. Let me try on my A300 and see if I can do in practice what I'm suggesting. When you do this make sure you have Auto NMJ start turned OFF in Settings. Hi Chris57, Thanks again for the advice My local drive is called 'SATA_DISK_1' I have disabled the NMJ start I have tried the two folders (Kids and Adult) in the root of the disk and in 'Video' folder, both with the same result The database is created in the root no mater where I am when I go to Jukebox Manager (via left arrow button from in the folder) A NAS or USB Drive may be options if I can't get it working If I shrink the main partition and add another one do you think they will show as two drives in 'Local Media'? |
