Searching for an MKV solution for A-100

I have an A-100 (not A-110) and a file in MKV format that I'd like to play on my PCH (it plays fine in VLC on my PC). Of course it won't, because it's waaaaaayyyy too high of a bit rate to play. I've tried to re-code it in Nero Recode 9 (yes, I know that 11 is out), but NR 9 won't even read the file. I've tried to re-code it in Handbrake and MeGUI, but they produce a file that is turned 90 degrees clockwise and all cropped up (plus other problems). I've tried using mkvGUI to re-mux it per instructions in another thread here, but when my A-100 tries to play the resulting file (made by mkvGUI) it gives me audio and the subtitles, but otherwise no video. The MediaInfo for the original source file is below. Any suggestions on ANYTHING that I can do to make this file play, or convert it to another format to play, on my A-100?

its a 10bit file im going out on a limb to say its an anime flick, google 10bit to 8bit mkv and you will find the solution to fix it, Just so you know anything labeled hi10 10p will not play on the pch or any hardware player. and to play on a pc you need at least a dual core
