RE: Need help with gigaswitch
Yea i know i've took a risk but this gives me hope: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...tid=53634, he says he has same switch at post 9, i know it's a different sigma chipset. As long as pch works at mbit that will do for me it's the laptop i need at gig speed.

RE: Need help with gigaswitch
So switch arrived today (linksys se2500) all is working great so far. PC is connected at gig speed transfer of 18MBps. I telnetted to pch and the output says 1000mbps, is it worth adding this switch to the wiki if i can't determine transfer speed to pch (no internal/external hdd's connected) ?

RE: Need help with gigaswitch
I would add it with a note that you didn't test file copies for speed.
