Problems with my new c-300
Newly arrived c300 freezes after sometime
Helle there, I just got my new c-300, and connected it to the network. Put in a samsun 1Tb disk. Here is what happens: 1. When playing movies it just freezez up, until now i recycled the power as the only solution. I have tried with different movie formats, such as mkv and iso rips. Same shit. 2. When transferring some new movies over to he same box it does the same thing. In the middle of the ftp session the network connection goes down. I had a cmd windows open where i had a ping going. My network connection on the c-300 is auto, and the switch connected to it is a cisco Gb swtich. I am also using static ip, no dhcp. The firmware installed is: 05-01-120118-23-POP-420-000 Anyone that have some advice on what to do, this is starting to bother me now. I have also tried all the different firmware relased but same shit. Regards Traceroute |

Do you have the NMT Apps installed?
Where are the files located? How are you playing them, standard ui, jukebox, etc What are the files - http://www.mediainfo.com output please. Do they have the same audio or subtitles types? AAC or HD sub/idx What are your actual network settings? What hardware, HDD, PC, router, NAS. RE: Problems with my new c-300
My setup is like this.
Popcorn c-300, internal 1 TB samsung disk. NMT apps installed on disk. Static ip adress, wired to a cisco smb-1000 switch. I have tested both Auto and 10/100 Mb connection, but both fails. I can play a movie for maybe 5-10 minutes and the system freezes. Basically it freezes either i try to watch a movie on it or when i transger files over to it with ftp. Some suggestions? RE: Problems with my new c-300
What ip's are you using for the static ip?
What ip are you using for subbnet, gateway, DNS servers? What router? What is your router ip range? What is your router DHCP pool? Is it all wired? Do things play from local storage? It sounds like there's a hardware problem with the HDD or your network somewhere. Could be as simple as a dodgy cable or router settings conflict though. The fact that it also happens on local storage makes me think HDD though. It could be that the files on the HDD are corrupted through transfer via FTP. try via SMB transferring a file. Also as asked what filetypes are failing and how are you playing them? You need to provide the requested detailed information to give better detailed replies. RE: Problems with my new c-300
First thing to do is to change your router DHCP pool. You should be specifying static internal ip's that are within your routers ip range but outside your routers DHCP pool.
I have my DHCP pool set to 192.168.1.200-192.168.1.225. That gives DHCP enough ip's and also means that 192.168.1.2-192.168.1.199 are available for static ips. Take a USB stick or USB HDD and put a file on it. then connect it to your player and see if it will play the file. If it does not then post the mediainfo output of the file. If it does then you know that the player can play the file and the problem lies in the HDD/network setup and the player. Let's just do that first. RE: Problems with my new c-300
I had A-110, C-200 and now finaly C-300.. and im a bit disappointed atm with my C-300..
- Slow navigation in the filelist compared to C-200. (standard UI) - Random resets. Not during a movie, but lets say i have seen a movie with my c-300 and wanna see a other move next day. its just resets/turns off when trying to navigate. - If I pause a video for some time and trying to resume it, the video is just black . have to restart the movie. - and my HLDS BT10N 6x Blu-ray 8x DVD 24x CD Burner dont spin down ever after its accessed. Have to restart popcorn to solve it. I hope my issues can be solved with firmware updates.. But atm i miss my C-200. |
