Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
I have about a 300 DVD and 600 BluRay ISO library and everything has played fine on my PCH-200 to this point, including many HBO series (Boardwalk Empire, John Adams, The Pacific, Band of Brothers) but after ripping Game of Thrones none of the 5 discs will play past the "Warning" screen.

The warning screen is a 7 second video and when it gets to the end it just never proceeds. The only buttons accepted is Stop and Play - which makes it replay the Warning 7 second video.

I have mounted these ISO's on my PC and they play fine with TMT5 or PowerDVD so all facts are pointing to an issue with the NMT.

I am running the latest version of the firmware (May 23, 2012).

Anyone have any ideas?

RE: Game of Thrones won't play
I just tested all 5 ISOs and they played fine off a network drive. I also have a C-200 with the latest firmware. These discs were ripped with AnyDVD 7.0.2.0 and Imgburn "Create image from disc" in case it helps.

Are your ISO images DVD or BluRay? Mine are BluRay. I usually use the Rip to Image feature built into AnyDVD HD. For AnyDVD HD I am running the beta 7.0.4.3 now but my first GoT disk was ripped about a month ago using an older version. And all my GoT discs fail to get past the warning page.

For the heck of it I am trying to rip the image through ImgBurn instead of the ripper in AnyDVD HD in case that is it.

If you are talking about BluRay ISO's - can you give me a rundown of your settings in AnyDVD HD for ripping?

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
Sorry for not clarifying...This is the 5 disc Blu-ray edition. My AnyDVD HD settings for the Blu-ray section are simply "Enable Blu-ray Support" and the only other thing I changed was to have AnyDVD open the info window after scanning the discs. After AnyDVD scans, I simply select the "Create image from disc" option from Imgburn, select where I want to save it, and go. I do keep AnyDVD up to date and keep track of what version I used on each of the rips.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
Odd, that more or less is what I do. My rip I tried using ImgBurn seems to yield the same results as ripping from AnyDVD HD directly.

As I test I inserted GoT disk 5 (the only one I have right now) in my PCH-200 blu-ray physical drive and it won't play either - it gives me a region error - even though I have my system region set to A.

I have over 600 BD iso's that all play perfectly - I just don't understand why this one series will not play. All I can think of is this is a newer edition of the discs and they are different from yours.

Again, the weird thing is that the ISOs will play on my PC when mounted using programs like TMT5.

I also have two PC-200's and both are doing the same thing.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
I'm at a loss as to what may be causing your problem. I got my edition (Which now says discontinued at Amazon...maybe for the "head on a pole" controversy???) when it came out March 6th and AnyDVD HD 7.0.2.0 was what I had installed at the time I ripped them. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some suggestions.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
I just tried using Speedmenu on disc 5 and that seems to get around all the problems. Is that what you are doing by chance? I fear this might be more messy when I get to a disc with a few episodes on it since they are not labeled very clearly. I would prefer to have the native menus of course. This might just have to be what I end up settling for though. Thank you for your replies cmazz!

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
I'm not using speedmenus either. Aside from the fact that the ISOs take a little longer to load compared to other Blu-rays, I haven't done anything special or out of the ordinary to the ISOs. Maybe it's a combination of your hardware and or C-200 settings that revealed a possible bug in the firmware? I have a 2.5 inch Samsung hard drive and a 3.5 inch Samsung hard drive inside my C-200.

My ethernet setting is set to Wired 10/100 although I do have the wireless card in the C-200.

The BD/DVD/Audio CD settings are:
Parental Control Level: Off
Autoplay: On
Menu Language: English
Subtitle Language: Off
BD PiP: On
BD Navigation: Full navigation

I only have the SMB server running under NMT applications.

Audio/Video settings:
Video Ouptput: 1080i
Frame Sync: Off
Video Zoom: Fit To Screen
TV Type: 16:9
Colorspace: YCbCr (Auto)
HMDI Audio: On
PCM: Passthrough
AAC: Downmix
WMA Pro: Downmix
DTS: Passthrough
Dolby Digital: Passthrough
-DRC: Off

Hope this helps. I'm curious as to why your ISOs won't play.

Can you elaborate on "longer to load"? Do you have a huge delay between the Warning page and the next page? I actually waited on one of the disks I did and after about 30-40 seconds it would progress through each small video - it got to the home page for the disc and then locked up the PCH.

Our settings are similar. I have an internal SSD HDD (64GB I think) and then a BluRay player in the large bay. Mine is set to 1080p with Frame Sync off and Fit to Screen as well.

I have gigabit ethernet in my home so I have the network setting at "auto"

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
What I meant was it takes longer for these discs to load once I press enter on the ISO...aproxamately 1 min 40 seconds or so give or take of that circle spinning and what looks like a red tree before the warning shows up on screen. Keep in mind I'm loading the ISO off a network drive, it may load faster from the internal drives of the C-200 but someone else would have to verify that. After that everything seems to play just fine. The warning screen says 7 seconds and after that it proceeds to the next screen which is 7 seconds and so on. They play with no long delays between them.

Have you done the factory reset after installing this latest firmware? I did...not that it may be the reason you're having issues but just a thought.

I also have gigabit network but find the C-200 has been pretty stable with the 10/100 setting and transfering files to and from it isn't too painful at that setting. The first time I used auto with Blu-ray, I got stuttering so I switched it back to 10/100 over a year and a half ago and haven't bothered to try auto again.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
The only Game of Thrones ISO that I have ever had a problem with is the disc with just the one episode on it. Think it was disc 3 and episode 6. All others play fine on my A300, plays at Full Navigation with original retail menu, as well as my C200.

Disc 5 has just episode 10 on it. For whatever reason though I am having trouble with all 5 discs. My only workaround is speedmenu...as it bypasses the areas that hang for me.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
You might want to check with the tool you use to rip/break the protection. It's possible that disc has something new on it and it's the rip itself. Look for updates and read the notes of what changed from your version to the newest. Also check their forums to see if others are talking about this disc that may not have a pch and some problem.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
I use ANYDVD HD and the lasest version and the version before that. The kicker is that the ripped ISOs will play on a PC player (TMT5, PowerDVD) without any problems at all. This really seems to be something the PCH does not like about these ISOs.

RE: Game of Thrones (BluRay) won't play
This is frustrating. So far, I have been unable to Play Disc 1 (Blu-ray Folder rip), disc 2 (actual disk in optical drive), disc 3(actual disc in drive)..

For Disc 1, I can play using simple BD - but I can then only see the first episode.

Using latest RC Firmware (yes, I did factory reset before installing it)

These are discs from Netflix. Only ripping because the silly optical drive gets stuck after the FBI warning..
