C200 won't turn on
Today I noticed that my C200 won't turn on. It was last used 2 days ago. Along with my other media equipment the C200 is connected to a UPS. Tests have been done directly with power socket.
The problem: The C200 won't turn on. When I disconnect the power cord at the back, plug it back in, turn back switch back on -> I get a red ring around the power button on the front. When I press this button nothing happens (other than the red light going off). And that's all there is to my story. Repeating the process is the only way to see the red ring again. Now I'd guess it's a PSU issue. I don't use the power button because I use the control. I've had this unit less than a year and already forked out extra $ (in courier cost) to get it repaired under warranty previously (see http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...id=58351). Summary: faulty motherboard got replaced I am not impressed in the slightest with this piece of shit. ![]() Any ideas of what should I do? I have a multimeter but unsure of how to test it. I've only ever tested batteries. |

RE: C200 won't turn on
Try with an ATX PSU(if you have one from an old PC). If this one works(c-200 boots up), you have a faulty C-200 PSU.
PCH-C200(Oct.2009,2.5"350GB Samsung HDD, no BD player)>HDMIv1.3>OnkyoTX-SR507>HDMIv1.3>Samsung LE37B650. Harmony ONE. One dead PSU. |

RE: C200 won't turn on
Thanks for the suggestion. Luckily I had a 24 pin to 20 pin atx converter, I hooked it up to my PC psu and the C200 works.
Looks like I need a new PSU

2 motherboards and one power psu . Mmmmmm not good and very expensive .From what I have read is that he psu has a inherent fault in it .Go and do a bit of researcher and get a non Popcorn hour psu or if you can upgrade the caps your self . Hope that helps |

RE: C200 won't turn on
Should've been a total recall on these pieces of shit. It's unacceptable for a product that asks such a premium price. It is junk! Syabas Tech Inc is junk.
It was faulty on arrival, and 10 months into owning it the PSU is now dead. Did you find a after market solution to yours? My C200 is still under warranty but it'd almost cost me more to ship it to reseller, than to buy a new PSU. I haven't replaced caps before, but could be a good learning experience. Got to get some use out of this $400 nonsense. |

RE: C200 won't turn on
It seems the PSU is not the best component in the PCH. I had it replaced as well about a year ago. I found a few more threads related to PSU problems.
