C-300 and iPlayer

BBC dictates what units can get it.. The syabas hardware with it can be found at: http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/he...ion/syabas

Might be worth asking bbc why it's not on the newer models, might help get them to approve it.

It's on the A300, used it last night, and last time Syabas said anything a C300 was at the BBC in testing for licensing.

If halfelite knows that it has received its licensing from the BBC then a UK C300 owner should be able to see BBC iPlayer.

An orange ip being a mobile phone ip may not be in the standard lists of UK ip's? We need another C300 Uk owner to check if they can see BBC iPlayer.

I wrote an email enquiry a few weeks ago to the BBC about the availability of the iPlayer on the C-300 and if it was ever going to be certified, and today I received the following answer from them:

I understand you’re enquiring about the availability of BBC iPlayer on Syabas Popcorn Hour C-300.

Put my thoughts in to them even though I dont have a C300

Right every UK license fee payer email the BBC and ask WTF they are taking so long to certify the C300.

I have emailed the BBC as well to ask what is taking them so long. Have not had a reply back from them yet, but will tell when I have something back from them. Wondering how long it will take for them to get back to me.

Hurry up BBC... I want iPlayer ! lol

The player will be obsolete before iPlayer is launched on it if the BBC doesn't hurry up!

The C300 wont be obsolete, you may mean that the A400 will be out. However that does not make the C300 obsolete as the A400 cannot play discs and has no Bluray license.

It may be that the A400 could bump the C300 along.

Hopefully the fact that we're now at the 400 series will embarrass the BBC into sorting it out though.

i think the best thing would be if as many people as possible would mail them, they just need to give there ok and we can make it available for C-300
