Help with BluRay Iso Playback
I've been reading through the forums and have yet to figure out what I am doing wrong. I just got a C-300 and now have it setup on my network. I had no problems connecting to my Unraid server (samba) and am impressed with NMJ.
Unfortunately after I got everything setup I have been unable to playback any of my bluray iso files. I know these are working isos as they play fine through my HTPC. They are original isos with the encryption still on them. These are supposed to play on the C-300 aren't they? I've tried changing to simple menus instead of full as well as tried loading the iso from the file browser instead of NMJ but still have not had any luck. I usually just end up with the "spinning wheel" and have to hard cycle the C300. I feel like there is something very basic that I am missing here?? |

RE: Help with BluRay Iso Playback
Try unpacking one of the ISO's to a BDMV folder. Then see if that plays. Try both the BDMV folder and an ISO outside of NMJ, standard UI.
What are the ISO files? Disney can be very tricky on the player. Name some of the popular ones so others can advise if they have tried and failed. You do have 2Gb of storage available locally for the player and are using HDMI aren't you? A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: Help with BluRay Iso Playback
I'll try unpacking one of them tonight and see if it will play that way.
I tried about 10 different movies so far and none of them will play (none were Disney). Yes - I have a 600gb drive installed in the c-300 and yes I am using HDMI. |

I have a huge BD-ISO collection and they all plays perfect on my C200 but trying to play them on a C300 is a different case. The C300 has problems with BD-ISO when they contains multiple soundtracks and you want to have the DTS Master surround playing. Underways in the movies the sound will "Crash" and you will need to change between audiotracks or restart the movie. It will help a little bit to unpack your iso's to file structure because it's faster to read from them in this state but the problems are not removed just less crashes. Funny enough using the Eversion skin to play the ISO's also improves it a little bit, though i don't really know why. So until Syabas come up with a new firmware who deals with this problem a PCH C300 is not suitable to play full BD-ISO's with DTS Master Surround soundtrack. Hopefully they will fix it soon, for in all other ways the PCH C300 is fantastic. PCH C200, C300, Oppo BD-P93, Onkyo NR-TX1009, Samsung 55" Smart TV, Epson EH-TW5500, 120" screen, Wired cat. 6 network, 4 Qnap TS410 NAS. |

RE: Help with BluRay Iso Playback
I thought part of it was related to BD Lite and BD Full menu's. BD Full has the error.

RE: Help with BluRay Iso Playback
I just got around to playing with mine some more. It does appear that everything works properly once the encryption is removed, however I thought that it was supposed to work even with encrypted bluray images?

Not from an iso. License requires encrypted discs to be original optical discs only. It's always been this way. |
