A-210 Maximum INTERNAL HDD Please Clarify..

Hi All,

I'm nearing the limit of my internal 1.5TB Drive in my popcorn hour A-210. Ive done a search on this forum for the maximum internal drive you can have and im now more confussed now then I was before with all the differnt responses :-)

Could someone please let me know the maximum size I can install internally to my A-210? dont want to puchase a 3TB and find it can only use 2TB of the

I'm sure it's the same as my C-200s.

The largest drive that the PCH can partition and format is 2TB. The PCH will create 4 partitions and install the NMT Apps (FTP Server, Samba Server, NFS Server, Torrent and Usnet clients)

As an option, you can install the NMT Apps to a USB stick. Then you can format your hard drive to NTFS on a Windows PC and install internally in your A-210. With this method you can use larger drives. I have 4TB Seagate drives installed in my C-200s.

The trick is to remove ALL existing partitions on the drive while it's connected to a Windows 7 PC then create a single GPT partition, format it to NTFS and you're good to go.

So if i put in a 4GB usb pen to do the install and format a 3TB drive on my PC and put it in popcorn will read it fine and I can use all 3TB?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying.
If you partition the drive to GPT then format to NTFS you'll be able to use all 3TB.
