APPS seems to work fine here, so my two issues with the July 10th FW are:
1. No subtitles 2. Distorted playback with some 24 bit stereo FLACs from HDtracks Bjørn Tore ------------------- Bjørn Tore Hoem @ Vinterbro, Norway |

Did you already have some apps on your c-300 before doing the upgrade firmware? Maybe its a fault whereas if you have no apps installed and you upgrade to latest firmware it doesn't connect? Also strange as i had subtitles with new July firmware but not in language i set? J. Ross Throw me as you will i stand |

It should be renamed Recovery as that is the only time you should ever set any NMT to Auto in the Video Output option. Not really, how can you explain why there is no problem before firmware update with same settings? It must be some problem on the new firmware. Because there is a stack of frame rate problems, HDMI out fixes in this one. |

Sometimes, yes. But you'll see the absence of people saying me too. Auto is wrong, you need to change it then which media doesn't work and might be a new bug can be identified and taken seriously.

Yes, I did try the other possible settings, but still, no use so many of them may expect the next firmware release until c300 is stable enough for normal usageNow I use the old firmware again until the next firmware release

If you want it fixed you should take 2 minutes to start a thread with info on your problem files and your setup/settings. Or you can hope the happen to find it or someone else happens to find it and provide good info.

It must be some problem on the new firmware. What are you talking about? What I posted is true for ALL firmwares and ALL NMTs. It's also posted in the 100 and 200 Video section as we have always had problems with owners incorrectly thinking that the Video Output setting Auto does some kind of Automatic check for the best video output, it does NOT. I am telling you how the function Auto works in the Video Output setting and that it is NOT an Automatic selection of the best output but rather is a Recovery mode for when a signal is lost. It cycles and when it connects sets a resolution, this resolution may not always be the best output. Therefore you MUST set the correct Video Output resolution and NOT use Auto in there. You must then set the frameratesync aswell after setting the correct resolution. But if you don't want to ignore what I'm saying then please do, I am only trying to help you and anyone else reading this thread. Even when I try to set 1080p/60hz (which match my TV specs) and frame rate sync but still no luck, then I switch back to old fw, keep the default setting Auto with no frame rate sync, problems gone. Anyway I have post relative thread for this problem on the bugs page of c300, thanks Chris(07-14-2012 11:06 AM)ihmcjacky Wrote:(07-13-2012 10:27 PM)chris57 Wrote: You should NEVER use Auto for your Video Output. if you really want a presales question answered, maybe the firmware thread isn't the smartest spot to be asking.
