[Bug] subtitles not showing after update

subtitles not showing after update
Hi

I updated my C300 today incl NMT software and now suddenly i cannot see any subtitles in any AVI or MKV (I tested on movies I know worked fine before this, and they work fine on my c200)

any ideas on what could be the reason ?

Perhaps we should change your titel back to Beta tester as you have a C300.Tongue

I don't have one so can neither confirm nor deny. They should fix it but it does not seem to have hit all languages judged from the limited amunt of posts on the subject. Are you all using multibyte languages or some specific encoding.

Chris - tested with several languages, including English and Norwegian - no success.

Subtitles no longer work, I'm afraid.

Have you tested with settings your language to English for subtitles in preferences as well as testing an actual English subtitle?

Moving to Bugs Section where others can from other countries may also chime in hopefully with their subtitles issues.

can you guys tell us a little bit more about your setup? the files you tried maybe also mediainfo,......

QA tested and they see no issue with embedded or subtitles srt, sub........

We have not seen everyone that uses subs having the issue. So its got to be related to the format/settings. multibye characters or type of subs or from where they are played etc.

Hi Chris,

Tested with changing both the system language and the subtitle language, and with an actual English subtitle. No change.
I also tested changing the subtitle color and encoding. No change.

post a mediainfo of the file and post a snipet of the top 5 lines if its an srt external. it could still be your the external sub is not utf-8 or what not. IF QA cant reproduce you need to give as much information possible or it wont be fixed

I belive I did, but will make another and "fresh" factory reset later today, just to be sure.

Just have to wait for the family, who is watching Pirates of the Caribbean:-)

Werner - I did for sure not do the Factory Reset the first time.

Just did and subtitles are now working fine.

Got the same issue with mkv. But..only if i have played something ales before. If i want to wat mkv with subs, have to reboot, and there they are again, untill playing another kind of file, then reboot again.

Popcorn Hour A-110 + C-300, Yamaha RX-V661, LG 42LM620S, ELAC Dipol 5.1 set

The inability to build an proper NMT should not be disguised as a fault in the setup.
