a300 and oversight

hi, can someone please point me in the right direction.
i have a pch a110 witch runs oversight, so far perfect.
now i bought a a300 and trying to run oversight on it but got stuck.
been looking for days to find what is neccesery to run it.
i installed oversight on it and can connect to it true 192.168.0.104:8883/oversight/oversight.cgi? and scan.
what do i need to make it work like my old a110
i read yamj, i read aeonskin, i read eversion.
i installed also eversion on it but cant get it to run.
there is no where walktrough to read how to set it up?
do i need yamj installed on computer or not?
please help me

This has been asked and answered several times on the forum, please use the search function. I found several threads here and here

(in short, 300 series do not have HTML support, you will not be able to have it working 100%).

i used the search function but people all pointing in different directions.
it is possible.
but guy A says you need this and guy B says you need that.
what needs to be installed to get it to work, i have eversion on nmt now and oversight. do i need to add more or?
dont point me at useless links.

This thread (the top of the page) will tell you everything you need to know, except that you need to get the OVS version of Eversion from Accident's DentedBoxes site and install with CSI. You cannot use the normal OverSight with a 300, so have to use Eversion.

so i dont need to install oversight, i only need to install eversion_oversight_r0173.zip?
but this is on the oversight page >>>After installing Oversight, Install Eversion using the CSI package from the DentedBoxes website.

Did you read the thread? It is fairly self explanatory, You need Oversight plus the Eversion OVS special.

cool its running, i need to start it true the eversion folder tho.

6. Optional:

There is a YAMJ app in the Market place that will install a nice icon to launch Eversion.
when i click on that app it tryes to run yamj

it doesn't try to run yamj, it's asking you what to launch. yamj can't run on the pch

when i click on the yamj app icon it start the black screen where you can set add a jukebox (YAMJ) is, playerpath help, about yamj and exit.

you need to add jukebox and then browse to the eversion folder in apps.

Thanks for putting this post in. I'm with you on this one. I'm not familiar wilth telnet and the likes and am having the same problems. What I need is a step by step run through on the process (after 1 do 2. After 2 do 3... that kind of thing).
I too have gone from an a110 to the a300 and found oversight to be the most usefull way to use the pch.
I've got the r23666 version of oversight running and can see it via my PC and it's picked up my movie files no problem but I don't have a clue how to get Everson running.
I installed Eversion for oversight using the "install from file option" using the nmt CSI.
How do I get it working? That is how do I access it?
How do I navigate to eversion.phf from the a300 to get it running ( I think this is what I'm meant to do)?????

I don't have an A300, but I think you need to go to Apps Market, add the YAMJ app, then open the YAMJ app, select "add a jukebox", and tell it where the the Eversion installation is, probably the SATA drive. Save this for quick launch, then when you want to run it just go to the YAMJ app. It's actually easier than it sounds. But you do need to read the lead thread about direct to eversion to check that you have the correct settings in the .xml file. You can just navigate to the Eversion on the A300, but I don't know the file structure.

Ahhh...Brilliant, thanks darcula that does get eversion running. I havn't edited the.xml file yet (wanted to see I was doing things right first) but I'll try that next.
