RE: Installing XBMC on Popcorn Hour A-200
It is amazing to see it... but i suspect it require lot of CPU power..

But i notice that some people ported the application to Apple TV1 and TV2... (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Apple_TV_1/FAQ)

On a PC, it require to have a P4 (http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBMCbuntu_FAQ)

So if it's work on the AppleTV1 ... i suspect it can be adapted to the Popcorn HOUR... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bJlQAqcOIs

Not even close in that assumption lol, The pch runs a sigma chip that is MIPS based There is a 700MHz cpu that does general processing and it is by no means are robust as say your intel x86 chip.

The first appletv ran off an 1ghz Pentium M while the appletv2 ran off the Apple A4 same chip as an an ipad So it has more processing power, The down side is none of them supported 1080p nor HD audio or any of that.

RE: Installing XBMC on Popcorn Hour A-200
the big difference is the lack of opengl in most sigma chips.. it's required to draw the screen with xbmc.

RE: Installing XBMC on Popcorn Hour A-200
Yup, the Sigma 8910 is supposed to support this (OpenGL), and Sigma demoed XBMC on this chip. But after that not much was heard anymore from that chip Dodgy
Still unclear whether it's canceled or still to be delivered. It's still on their site but I'm not holding my breath.
But for now no XBMC on the PCH's.

C200 + 4GB USB stick + LiteOn BD-rom and A400 without internal storage via HDMI to Yamaha RX-V767 receiver to LG 47LW650S full HD TV and Panasonic PT-AE3000U full HD beamer, all media on Synology DS411j

RE: Installing XBMC on Popcorn Hour A-200
There are sigma chips with opengl already, but pch doesn't use them. If your looking for hardware players with xbmc, I would start looking around elsewhere. There's lots of discussions about this on the xbmc forum.
