Hi,
I have a big issues with my torrent. I have installed the Transmission 2.50 without troubles and I can access to my PCH A-300 without problem. I can add torrent file and download them to my internal HDD (apps are installed on a USB stick). The big problem come from trackers. I have got an error with them. It says "could not connect to tracker". I have tried to download the same torrent with my laptop, all is good. I have opened the forwarding port on my router, without success. Do you have any idea where this problem could come from? Thank you, Ouad. |

RE: Problem with trackers.
Did you even try the default Transmission v1.72 stable client? It would be helpful to know if you could download with that or not.
Did you remember the port change and the webui change? A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: Problem with trackers.
Hi Chris57,
thank you for your quick answer. In fact, I started to download torrent with the default application (so maybe the transmission v1.72, I do not really know). I was able to download some files but it was really really slow (about 12 Ko/s max...). With my laptop, same torrent were faster. So I decided to use the last version of torrent's client I could found, and this is when the tracker's problem appears. What do you want to say by "Did you remember the port change and the webui change?", I do not understand your question. |

RE: Problem with trackers.
If you have managed to download with the default version then we know that it is not an issue with all torrents. A lot do not realise that the torrent client from the NMT Apps is transmission, it is only the version and location of the install that changes.
Have you accessed the install location and used the likes of notepad++ to edit the CONF file and read the READ Me file? How do you access the CSI version of Transmission? What port number are you using? Have you made sure that the site accepts Transmission v2.50? What error message is there, there must be a given reason why it wont download? You mention NMT Apps and your torrent location being different, how have you told the player to use the HDD as opposed to the NMT Apps location? RE: Problem with trackers.
Hi Chris57,
I will try to answer your question. First thing, I tried the same torrent with the default and the new version of transmission. And my problem appears for ALL torrent I try to download. No. I was not aware that there is a read me file in this location. And as I am a Windows user, I do not know how to access this file. In the "Transmission Remote GUI", we can specify where to save torrent file. I hope that all these answer are useful for you. |

RE: Problem with trackers.
I thinking that as Transmission v2.50 is a userapp CSI version it does not like the fact that it is installed onto the USB stick and then trying to download to the HDD.
To check if this is the problem go into Settings > Maintenance > NMT SEtup Wizard and select Media Drive. Then set that back from the HDD to your USB stick. Reboot. Then download a new torrent file and import that into Transmission. Does that download? If neither the default nor CSI version downloads it could be nothing to do with the player. It could be firewall or router settings. This one is for the future and anyone reading who uses torrents on a NTFS HDD: Also how is your HDD formatted? If it is NTFS then it's not recommneded as the player/client do not like writing and reading from NTFS formatted drives. you do this a hell of a lot with a torrent client. so the potential for problems is there. Use Linux Ext3 to format any HDD that you intend to download with torrents. Usenet very different and is fine with NTFS. What URL do you enter to access v.2.50? As soon as you install the v2.50 it stops the defaul version. So you have to uninstall v2.50 to then get the defaul v1.72 working.
