Do a factory reset if you can not see srt subtitles.
I believe the only subtitles that this firmware affects are SD vibsub which are no longer displayed when internal in an MKV. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

The NMT apps aren't up-to-date but I can't get them updated because my disk inside the PCH is working like crazy for hours on end. And if I try to install the new NMT update I get an installation failed error or an error saying that the nmt.apps file hasn't been found. I have my PCH for 3 weeks now and I haven't had a day that it worked as it should. Can I stop certain processes through telnet or something so I can start the update because that seesm to be the only thing that works all the time. |

This is a little confusing.. if the apps aren't updated, nothing on that drive is running. you may want to start a separate thread for this one so more people can take a peak at what you have going on. something sounds very out of wack on your setup.

correction: it's not " people are having some issues" but "some people are having issues" and most of those are related to issues that existed before the upgrade but have become evident because of the upgrade.
Looking at the numbers I would say it's safe to update... PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

After the firmware update I had also the problem with the subtitles. because i wanted to view the new episode from Continuum, i downgrade from a usb stick.
later i did the upgrade again. And after the upgrade a cold boot. Complete down till the ligth turns red. After restart the problems with the subtitle where gone. So no nee to go back to factory settings. otherwise you need to put down some settings again... The transferspeed from my computer to the A300 is speed up from 12 Mb to 22 Mb. the pc is 3 months old, intel i7-2600 and a gigabit network. All cables. in the Popcorn is a WD 3Tb green disk, so not that much write speed...but performances well with Blu ray movies. So i'm satisfied with the new speed. The other fixes i have to test. Popcorn A-300 with 3 Tb HDD, PC i7-2600 64 bits-16 Gb, PS3, NAS QNAP 209 II PRO, Gigabit wired network. |

I think you are right - I still see some glitches with PGS subs in .MKV's but not as bad as with previous firmware. Are the SD vibsubs from DVD's? All my internal usually are S_HDMV/PGS which are found on BD's and HD-DVD's. Anyway .SRT sub have ALWAYS been perfect for me. .SRT still perfect after last firm. -goAMinD PCH-A300 | W2K8R2 | Blu-Ray collection |

Earlier I wrote that some java bluray iso's wouldn't play. I did some extensive testing and found out that these files don't play using NMJ2 and only in wall view mode. Via file browser or NMJ2 using list/category mode blurays play fine. My guess is that using the wall mode maybe the playing is taking up too much memory (memory leak?) and there's not enough left for java blurays? Myaby the devs can look into this?
