[NMJ v1] Problem to create nmj_database

Hello,

I have a C200 for over two years, but due to time constraints, I do not have much use. I decided to remedy that, and so I did all available updates.

My C200 is connected to a NAS hotech ve-VHS-4. I have no problem connecting, and I see my files.

My problem comes when I want to use the NMJ, in fact, I am connected to my NAS via samba protocol, I can not create the database because there is an error message that tells me that the disk is read-only .

I want to say that I created a user with C200 password on the NAS that has rights to read and write. When I connect with this user in FTP, I have no problem writing, the problem exists only in samba.

If you have an idea of what could be the cause, I'll be grateful.

This should work.
1. Create a user on the NAS, with password, so not anonymous.
2. Make sure this user has read/write/delete permission to the root of the media share. If your share has subfolders it's not enough to give permissions to the subfolders.
3. Try accessing the media share from a PC, and use the same username/password you created in 1. Test that you can create a file in the root of the share. If OK then the rest should just work.
4. On the C200, go into settings->network shares. Create a network share that points to the media share on the NAS. It will ask for username/password, so give it the username/password you created in step 1. When asked let it save the password.
5. On the C200, navigate to the network share you just created. Don't go into the workgroup to find the NAS.
6. Click the red button to start the scanner. Wait

This is exactly what I did.
In fact, the C200 can not write on my NAS even if I login with the administrator account.

Absollutly. I can write with the account created for the C200 from anywhere (PC, laptop) except from the C200, and I can not write from the C200 whatever the account I use.

As a last resort, do a "Reset to factory settings". Then set up a new network share to the NAS and try again.

First of all, thank you for your help. I just solved my problem by updating the firmware of my NAS. The C200 was not involved. Apologies for any inconvenience.
