Thanks for this information. I followed this on the A2x0 PCHs and the new A300 PCH and was able [as always] to setup the Network Share to my NAS [WDShareSpace, yes junky I know but it works for me and was cheap $] and browse to it and setup the Network Share on the PCHs. Then I was able to go to the Network Share listing and view the contents and even play ISOs and MKVs. When I turned off the PCHs and turned them back on it yet again prompted for the ID and PW.

I have everything set for static IPs and always have on my small network. I checked the Subnet Mask and the DNS numbers and all is well. I cannot set the NAS as guest as even the guest account requires a PW. I am using NFS-IP and have the IPs of the PCHs on the NAS for allowing access.

Why can I on the PCHs browse to the NAS, setup the Network Share with NO ID or PW in the entry, play a movie just fine? If I reboot it prompts for the ID and PW.

I just don't get it.

OH and I checked the DNS entries. I use my ISPs DNS numbers, I use the OpenDNS numbers, and even tried the Google DNS numbers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) Made no difference on Internet access. That works with no issues.

Before updated de a210 the volumen control was from -15 to +15, and after the update only from -15 to 0.

no, volume boost has been removed so it's now -15 to 0 (0 being loudest).

Hi,
After one day I rolling back to old firmware, only trubbels,

- can not playing iso files more,
- loss NAS network connection not stable, (can not fond content)
- PCH slower with tehe new firmware,
- sound -0 to soft!!,
- playing mkv's of or bd25 black screen, starting verry slow
- internet connect when installed the new firmware not stable and not bugy free, 255.255.0.00 (old firmware good!)
- problems with playing radio sounds (PCH freezing)
- ......

The old firmware is better, waiting for update new firmware, I think this is a joke form Syabas, Its sommertime!

FW installation went smooth! everything works like before AFAIKS. The new music interface looks nice but makes the A200 slower!

Subnet is 255.255.255.0
DNS starts with 208 (Yes I use openDns server)
I never bothered about do an factory reset.
I updated Facebook app to latest 2.2.1
I never reboot the router.
I never checked the device name in NMT.
But the only thing I did, was to change to Manual IP and then it works. However I have not yet tested if the setting remains after reboot of PCH.

Nice upgrade. A bit messy to install. Thank God (and Popcorn), the annoying "now playing banner" disappeared in the music section (used with Dynamic Yamj NMTSERVER, what makes the artist slideshow now fully enjoyable). Thanks...

1080p .sup works, its same format as in a bluray disc. 1080p sub/idx how ever will never work. the player will not crash anymore when a mkv has 1080p .sub but will not play it.

broken part of my PCH net-work aswell
my lan , can see the a210 smb internal hdd share and access it just fine (wired)
my pch can see my other lan shares but wont access them (DHCP host error)
i presume doing a factory reset will delete all my network share links on my a210 , so i have not done
will look into it further

I had to reset to factory settings and then re-add the shares again. Once, I did that go to network setting and change the IP option from auto to manual.

There after I went to my share folders, and when I tried to access it, it asked me for a username and password, which I do not have. All you've got to do is type whatever name you want in the USERNAME. I typed Popcorn, and clicked on continue.

It will ask you to save the user/password, and I choose "Yes." Thereafter, I had access to my shares without any issues.
