Newbie seeks Setup help C300
Hello everyone. I just got my PCH C300 yesterday. The network works, the picture and sound are good, but when I put on the PCH it goes directly to the SETUP screen and not to the Jukebox. To be able to access my NAS involves a lot of button presses and also resume function is off.
Is there some guide or instructions where I can learn how best to setup this unit and all its features. Thanks a lot.

There is a manual for download. A link to where to find it is right on this page, about 4 cm above your post, and to the far right. (It says "Popcornhour manuals"). Also there might have be a quickstart guide in the box you got the C300 in.

Yes it is the main menu screen with Setup highlighted. Is there any way to go directly into the Multimedia folder and see the videos ?

Also is there any way to zoom whilst watching a film. i am having to adjust Video zoom for every movie that I watch as the picture appears too small or too big. So I have to stop playing and then access Setup and then after setting the zoom, when I go back, I have to start the movie afresh and find the spot last viewed.

I was just browsing the manual when you replied. Thanks anyway. There is no quickstart in the box. Still struggling to get it up and running after 2 days.

There are buttons on the remote to adjust things like zoom as it's playing.

somethign sounds a little odd though as what your describing isn't normal. Try running the setup wizard found on the main menu and see if it can help you get your settings in..

The common need to put in settings:
- video/audio. Do not use AUTO. Put in the highest settings your tv input supports.

I did a factory reset and everything fell into place, optical works, and the zoom for every film is not required anymore. However I would prefer direct access into the Multimedia folder so that the family finds it easy to access their content with the least amount of button presses. Any suggestions please.

+1
Would love to boot straight to NMJ but haven't found a way to achieve it unlike the HTML-based 200 series owners.

Find the thread in the 300 series request forum and add your "me too" to it.. There is no way to do what you want.
