No Youtube HD playback after firmware update
I updated my C-200 with the latest firmware coming from version 02-04-110422-21-POP-408-000. Since then I am not able to play 720p 1080p movies with Youtube anymore. Other apps have no problem playing HD from the internet.
The sound is gone and the image stutters. Also the app crashes a lot. This was never a problem before. |

thnx for the advice.
Unfortunately it did not help. I don't think network speed is the issue. I have no problem playing BD iso's for example and others apps have no problem playing hd. I did a recovery of the firmware. with the old apps youtube works fine also with 1080p. Retried to update to 03-04-120517-21-POP-408-000 with the news apps interface the problem is back again youtube also crashes a lot when trying to play something. Also the new pre-release has the same problem. So now I recovered again to 03-04-110530-21-POP-408-000 hoping for a solution.. |

since you just recovered, you might want to update again and see if it will work now. it does recommend you do that first to make sure the nand was ok and the firmware wasn't corrupted.
as far as I know everyone else that tried those 2 things fixed up their HD playback. I use youtube playback with HD all the time and it's been fine after I adjusted the rx window. |

In the youtube app thread I went over with someone about it not working..
It's pretty easy to make it not work, I would not call it stable for mass usage yet. It seems specific to the 200 series and worse in the a200 model vs the c200 model. My full info on the problem, what happens and how to recreate it is in this post: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid569382 The short answer to fix while waiting is: - you need lots of bandwidth - you need to use auto networking and 0 for the tcp window. - you MIGHT have success, I recommend knocking yourself down to 720. To be honest, the problem appears when your setup cannot handle 1080p and it switches to 720p without you noticing. Meaning you may not have been watching 1080p video in the past, you just asked it to. |
