YAMJ creates sometimes wierd paths
Hi,

I am using YAMJ for over a year now and I love it. A month ago my wife noticed that my sons Bob the Builder collection set wouldn't play. At that time I had some trouble with my PC, so that went first.

Now I did a fresh install with the latest YAMJ and mediainfo. Scraping went fine and I can watch movies (didn't test them all). But still Bob wouldn't play. If I go with the file browser of my c200 to the movies of Bob they play just fine.

Next I looked in to the html file of Bob and I noticed something weird:
file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Video/Speelfilms/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Little%20Fockers%20%282010%29/Bob%20de%20Bouwer/Bob%20de%20Bouwer%20-%20Bobs%20grote%20plan%20%5BSET%20Bob%20de%20Bouwer%20collectie%5D.avi

Of course I didn't nest Bob's movies a dozen of times in the Little Fockers folder. Working movies have correct paths in their html.

What could be the issue?

POST EDITED BY ACCIDENT. The code block made it a really long non-stop line and hard to get to the right side of the window to click on anything. The contents also reduced to just the url of the video so it didn't need a code block

RE: YAMJ creates sometimes wierd paths
never seen that one before.. you'll want to delete the xml file from teh jukebox. I also recommend you move teh video to a new folder and delete the old one. it could be a filesystem quirk. then run yamj to replace it.

What stumbles me, is the fact that it suddenly emerged and just for a bunch of movies

I will remove the Jukebox folder and do a fresh scraping after the step you mentioned below.

That came to mind. As I read in thread 49831 (I am not allowed to post links) the filesystem is being checked at startup; so that couldn't be a issue. Right?

Why? just delete the 1 movie file xml. No reason to waste all that time gathering the same info for all the working files.

It's just a spot check, it's a very long process to full check out the filesystem.

Me personally, I would copy the files to another device delete the folder and files. make a new folder of slightly different name and then copy the file back into it. If that fixes it, then I would probably assume it just happens to be the problem I noticed and consider options for backing up, testing and possible even reformating the drive before it gets worse.

Yeah, I will move the whole directory to another disk and copy it back to a new destination. Good tip!

Hmmm, just bought myself a big SSD for my laptop. The misses won't be happy if I buy a new 2TB...Blush

RE: YAMJ creates sometimes wierd paths
Just wanted to post that copying to another drive and copying it back to another destination did the trick.

Guess I have to free op some time for checking this disk...
