[NMJ v2] TV Show Episode Information?

I'm running NMJv2 on an A300 and on the whole I'm happy with it.

My biggest gripe is the lack of information for TV Show episodes, however.
Whenever I update my media folder after adding a new TV show, I'm only given the Show Name and Episode number.

If I use NMJToolbox to fetch TV info, the episode name and brief synopsis as detailed on theTVDB is downloaded and made available to NMJ.

Is there any way I can get NMJ to obtain this info automatically?

I use Sickbeard and SABnzbd to get new media, and within SAB I "clean up" everything such as .nfo, .jpg and .sample files, leaving only the video file.

I kept the downloaded .nfo file for a recent TV Show but no episode synopsis.
Is this just how it is, or am I doing something wrong?

Bumping this old topic as it's really annoying.

Directory structure:

Bones
...Season 8
......Bones S08E01 The Future in the Past.mkv


All NMJ gives me is:

Bones
...Season 8
......Bones Episode 1

Now why won't NMJ go and find any info for that particular episode?
Is it because when I search for 'Bones' on the TVDB website, I'm given more than one search result?

If I update the jukebox using NMJToolbox, hey presto, I get the proper episode name and synopsis. Surely NMJ must be able to do this for me?

Dont know I just use NMJToolBox in any case as its far quicker than clicking the remote.

When using NMJToolBox make sure that you are on the correct episode and that it also list the correct episode number in the information on the right. Then click TVDB icon and it should rename the entry to include the episode title and synopsys, it does on my NMJ Jukebox.

That's right Chris. I use NMJToolbox which without, NMJv2 would be only half usable as far as I'm concerned.

I did have a bit of success last night scanning a new show where the info was pulled correctly so it's a start!
I think it's down to the returned search result from theTVDB.com:

Search TVDB for 'Bones' and it returns half a dozen different shows.
Search for 'Chicago Fire' and you only get one hit - that's the show NMJ scraped the correct episode info for.
Rom messaged me before and explained that he was able to correctly scrape info and the example he used was 'Breaking Bad'.
Search TVDB for Breaking Bad and you only get one hit...

Does it work if you add the IMDB ID via the remote? I have to admit, I don't use the NMJ to update as I'm more concerned at getting the NMJToolbox functionality working well

I just added a few more new shows. They all worked OK.
I'm convinced it is where there are numerous hits for similar names, such as CSI, CSI: Miami, and NCIS, NCIS: LA etc.

I'll have a go with the IMDB/TVDB ID tags but is that on a per episode basis or per show basis?

Not sure about whether it is per season (the A300 NMJ has no provision for Series, thats why you see a cover for every season, the A400 NMJ adds Series grouping support) or per episode, I suspect per season.

You may be correct in your multiple results theory, the only way it would be fixed is if Syabas handled it by fixing the scanner in the firmware - either to take the first result (as I do in the bulk scanner for movies in NMJToolbox) or ask the user to confirm (which would make scanning no be unattended).
