C200 keeps rebooting
Hey guys, Ok so I had my c200 repaired, new PSU, got it back, and now whenever I power it on, I hit the power button, I get the popcorn hour loading logo, then reboots. Keep getting this, any suggestions?
FYI, no drives, no usb, nothing connected...just hdmi and network cable. |

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
If you haven't already you should update your ticket with support or open a new one with what is happening. There is a US number you can call also, might be worth calling them. They just moved so if there's a voicemail you need to leave make sure you give them call back information.
My thoughts on things to try is: - open the unit and just check cables to make sure they are all connected firmly in case they shifted in shipping - Before you close it up, if that doesn't help use the firmware recovery options to for the unit into recovery mode and then reinstall the recovery firmware. #2 in this post has more info on how to do that: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=62337 |

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
I had an existing ticket that they responded to. I specifically indicated that i had nothing connected other then HDMI, and of course their response was "please try disconnecting everything and try again".
I spent $25 for a new PSU that they told me I needed. When that didn't work, I spent $50 (plus $15 shipping to CA) for them to repair. The unit came back with a "replaced LCD unit". They claim they tested and updated firmware to latest, but of course, the unit keeps resetting itself. Do you have the number handy? |

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
I don't have it handy, it should be on the popcorn hour or popbox websites.
I recommend you try what they asked you to and report back. Ignoring the people who will take the unit back to deal with it doesn't sound reasonable to me. It might seem unrelated or a blow off request but it might also fix it or help identify what's causing it to reboot. And your in the US, I'm not an attorney but there are laws to help protect you in this area but they do require allowing them to try to fix it repeatively. |

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
I am certainly not ignoring them, that wouldn't benefit anyone. In fact, I am putting as much detail as possible when communicating to them. I clearly indicated that I currently have nothing connected except HDMI. Their response was "please try disconnecting everything and only havign HDMI connected". This to me seemed like an automated response...
I will continue to pursue...Thank you |

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
Oh that makes more sense.. you might want to try pulling all the cables out, you can see from the front blue screen if it's rebooting over and over. who knows maybe the whole issue is your hdmi cable is shorted out.

RE: C200 keeps rebooting
my thoughts is damage in shipping it back to you or maybe doing the firmware recovery to make sure the firmware is ok.
