Video Problem With Dongle-Networked Unit
Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, but am ecstatic to have found it! I just recently purchased an A-200 and love it! However, once I found and connected to my network(via the wi-fi dongle), I was only able to access an extremely limited amount of video. I am trying to post what is always happening, but I keep getting an error on the forum that says 'You cannot include a URL in the post'. I didn't think I was. I didn't specify any paths or anything, I just can't get my NMT to load most videos from my network. I'd like to be a bit more specific, but it seems I'm not allowed. Could someone please help? Thanks!

RE: Video Problem With Dongle-Networked Unit
As a newcomer we have had to put spam filters in place. We had many spam members created and posts to linked sites.

When you are moved from the current group into the next group, 1 -2 weeks then you can post url/path stuff.

In the meantime just put a space in between a few starting characters or replace with Xx's.

RE: Video Problem With Dongle-Networked Unit
I see. Thank you.

I have gone through the process of sharing to make sure everything is available to the network(at least to the best of my knowledge) and all that I can access are low-res videos that were uploaded from my digital camera years ago, some collegiate lectures downloaded a long time ago, and a few spare music videos. All the while my hard drive has a large list of movies in formats that Popcorn Hour is purported to play but will not even show when I go into my network from the unit.

I get a similar problem with pictures -- there are about 15 albums of home photos, but when I access them from Popcorn Hour, only about 7 of them are listed, and all in random order.

My large library of music seems to be totally intact and available for playback through the Popcorn Hour via the network.

I am currently resolved to using a flash drive and transfering videos to be able to watch them on my unit, which I wanted to avoid by getting the dongle. I would love to hear any ideas that could bridge the connection of my unit and the videos on my PC. Could someone please help me to get the most out of my new Popcorn Hour? Thank you!

RE: Video Problem With Dongle-Networked Unit
Unfortunately the Wifi-dongle is not good at all. Even under the best circumstances the transfer rate possible is too low for HD movies.
Not being able to even see all the files in the listview is unusually bad, but I think it can be because of the Wifi dongle.

I strongly recommend you connect to the network with cables, at least for a trial so you can see that there isn't any other problems.
