Compared to my C200, roughly 20% of the movies (mostly iso format) will not play, cause the unit to reboot, play a few minutes and freeze or play without sound.
While a cold restart sometimes solves the issue, the frequency of these crashes is quite annoying. Especially while the C200 performs well when playing the same movies. Im on the most recent firmware, have done a clean setup of the C300, factory reset and so on (more than once btw). Installation all went well, no hick-ups and Im not using 3rd party apps. Even the standard nmt apps are all turned off. Most of the time I really enjoy the C300 and its performance, especially playing full BluRay rips, but Im surprised to learn that the C200 seems to performe more stable than the C300. |

My C-300 works fine now. I had a lot of problems with my C-300, at the end Popcorn installed a new motherboard and now it works great. The lan was broke.

Always great news, to see there is a new Firmware update.
After i bought the C300 after my C200 died on me. I must say , i was doubt full after a few weeks . Because i had a lot of Freezes on the C300 for instance. When i paused the movie to take a leak. And then, when i got back to play it again. It automatically went on standby. And i had to switch the power off, to even use the C300 again. Or when i just wanted to switch to different audio 5.1 to DTS. I just play MKV's not even Bluray or Iso. I had no sound at all anymore...once again i had to switch it off. I never had this problems on my C200. I understand the Firmware is still in sort of Development. To be honest, im not so happy with the C300 right now, compare-sen to the C200. so i hope this gets better .*ventilation mode off*

@Werner: the issue (Fixed cannot set media destination to internal Sata HDD if USB thumb drive is connected) from the 120710 fw seems te be fixed, but when I install apps on USB (ext3 ofcourse) and set media destination to the internal SATA (tried both ext3 and NTFS) the C-300 slows down too much its not usable. Switching back to USB as media destination results in speedy usage of the C-300 but the Download folder (Transmission/nzbGET) is also on USB.
I think this needs to be fixed. BTW my harddrive is a WD20EARX aligned in Gparted. Any help would be great! |

In the past when you set another drive to the media drive it runs a chown -R nmt:nmt command to make sure everything is owned by the NMT user if you have a lot of stuff it will take awhile. same if you have upnp enabled it needs to scan for a list of all files to build a db |
