My A210 keeps dropping DNS settings...
This is very odd and started after the most recent firmware revision. Sometimes, even mid-download from NZBGet, I'll start getting the dreaded Err145 and it cannot locate any servers. At the same time, if I pop over to Sickbeard, any queries to TVDB timeout as well.
Going into the Network Settings of the PCH, I see that the DNS entries that my router would normally place in there (the router's address) has been replaced with the defaults that normally appear upon fresh install. I've now hard-coded them to 8.8.8.8 (google's DNS) and an external ISP's DNS. But still, after a couple of hours of that working, DNS lookups failed again from the PCH even through network was still up and I could access web consoles and telnet into the A210. Restarting the PCH seemed to clear that up temporarily... but for how long? |
