try high bitrate 1080p with true audio or DTS-MA and compare picture quality...
I got an android phone that plays every file in my library also also but it doesn't look the same....

PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10
13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB, 2 Seagate Central 4TB

The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box

As I said before, I've got no issues till now and there is no differnce (i don't see one) in the video quality. I've paid about 60$ for my setup with R-Pi. So if any ubeatable problems appear (like unstability of 1GBit ethernet connection or unacceptable performance of nmj in A-210 /about 400$ for a-200 upgraded to a-210 chasis/), I will replace it with another setup. But I'm sure, that it will be based on XBMC@htpc.

I don't know if it's due to the update or not (I don't think so). But lately I have some problems with my A-200. The problem is that when I play a movie or some episode that my PCH turns the screen black for 1-2 seconds and then continues.

Problems that I have ruled out:
- It's not the video file, it's just random
- it's not a cooling problem
- it's not the HDD inside the PCH, it also does it when I play directly from my pc

So i'm thinking my PCH is broken Sad. Does anybode else encountered the same problem or does anybody have a solution???

Thanks alot,
Brocky

HDMI?

Did you upgrade the firmware of the AVR or display, make any HDMI related changes to the AVR or display?

AVR = Audio Video Receiver.

but we have excluded the HDMI being the cause of the black outs.
audio skipping the first half second is a known issue for years has nothing to do with blackouts during playback.

so my next guess is setup being too slow to fetch the next m2ts file, where are the files located?

It's not in the beginning, it's totally random. Sometimes within the first 10min or after 45min. The files are located on the interal HDD. And it does it with all files; mp3, avi, mkv,...
I also removed the HDD and played directly from my pc. Also removed HDD and network cable and tried to play something from a USB which I just formatted and put some mp3's on it. Still the same problem
