C300 freezes
Hello,
I have my movies as full iso files on a Synology 412+ NAS. When I play them they freeze now and then for approximately half a minute and then start playing again but at fast forward speed. This is naturally quite annoying and being a newcomer to Media Jukeboxes I don't really know where to start to try to address this issue. Any help would be welcomed and appreciated. Regards |

RE: C300 freezes
Sounds like you may be using the Synology Media server?
What type of files - mediainfo output? Do they play from local storage fine, use a USB stick or USB HDD to test. How were they created - use IMGBurn as it creates good to spec ISO files for hardware players like the NMT. I have made some progress following the advise in earlier threads (by Lackb -01-11-2012). Was as follows: 'After reseaching the forums I made the following changes: - video output and frameratesync settings as per Chris' post (going away from Auto setting) - deleted the Samba share and created a NFS-TCP share' It seems to have handled the problem. It is still early days, I have not had time to evaluate properly but it looks promising. You ask about Synology Media Server. I am not sure what you mean - Yes the 'Media Server' app that came with the Synology is running, should it not? I have not tested feeding from USB since it looks promising with the actions taken. I am using DVD Cloner and Leawo for the transfer to harddisk. Regards |

RE: C300 freezes
The Synology Media App is like say one of the NMT Apps, it is a server app.
The best way to access the files is as you are doing, simply sharing the files rather than using the Synology Media Server. The NMT plays more file types and codecs than the Synology Media App recognises and serves. I am glad to report that the video streaming is now working very well but I am not sure what made the difference. I don't really care as long as it works - probably the resetting did it? However there is one remaining issue. If I play a movie and turn off the TV and then turn it on again the sound is gone. The C300 is connected to the TV via an HDMI Matrix switcher and the same thing happens if I switch channel. If I restart the movie the sound is back again. Is this an already known problem (HDMI bug?) or a new one? If anyone has a cure please let me know. Regards |
