[Bug] A300 - DVD sound problems

Hello

I just found out that all dvd (ts structure) on my A300 have very silent "scratching" sound.

All other 400 mkv files have excellent sound.

What could be wrong?

Do you use an AVR? Because I can reproduce this issue only if a select downmix for audio. In passthrough no issues.
This bug is also confirmed when connected direct to TV.
It is the same noise I get sometimes if I switch audio tracks.

And why do I get the BD selection menu if I play a DVD structure? Can someone confirm?


And I already started with a recovery (jumper) before I updated to this firmware. I use my C300 only for testing.

I like to add that a HDMI resync (pull the HDMI plug) seems to solve this issue.... untill the next time you start a DVD.
This one looks related to the "sometimes no HDMI sound" issue.

Are you saying that I have to set up in this menu:



form downmix to passthrough?

My A300 is at my friend home, so I can not test passthrough option.

For an AVR set all to passthrough except AAC and WMA Pro.

The noises appears (only) when the file directory is playing (IFO mode?), but if i try to play the SAME content in the single file mode the noise is absent. Also, the noise disappears if i try select the passthrough mode instead downmix mode. I think the problem is inside audio codecs or program code , but i dont know how to refresh audio codecs/code , because the last update of firmware was done and system dont allow to make updating via standard user menu

The File structured content - directory in case DVD disk copy- playback on my c300 run not properly
1 previous content (stand before main disk menu for example film advertisement distort or disappears from time to time (black screen)
2 the Strong Noise and audio distortion appears during film playback
3 Quick jump to percent measured sector sometimes doesn't work
4 Play Resume for film cause black screen (both - the single file or directory
The update of last firmware was done yersteday

I can't help you but I can confirm that Martien solution solved my problem.

All DVD are now playing fine.
