A300 Best compatible internal HDD

What is the best internal HDD to use with an A300? one that can be just installed in the unit and formatted ext3.

I've been using a wd20earx but I have finally had enough with the constant restarting in order for the drive to be detected. I also use mac so I can't format it NTFS or edit the idle out time.

i have the same problem in my C300,if i alter the intelligent park would i need to remove everything from the drive

No. I've done it with my WD20EARX drive. It does not alter the HDD content at all. It only changes the Idle timer.

Here's a hint :

If you try to use the "wdidle3 /S300" (that's what I used) or "wdidle3 /D" and you get the "error reading from drive c: data area: drive not ready" message after a wile, power down your computer, plug your HDD on another SATA port, reboot and retry.

The change doesn't alter the drive contents. There is settings in all sata drives and generally different models of the same drive just ship with different settings. It's really only a problem because there is a lack of memory in order to buffer enough video or data so the drive can come back to life before it runs out.
