3D problem with SBS and TAB
The display of 3D images only from my PCH-C200 is wrong.
Normally the images from the SBS and TAB mode are a little shifted from each other, but now they are far apart. A double image is the result (with and without the shutter glasses) and thus no 3D view. The problem is since the last update on my PCH-C200 and as far as I know only with 3D SBS and TAB (.iso and .mkv files). If the PCH-C200 is changed with a V8 PopBox, there is again a normal 3D view! Receiving 3D from others sources then the PCH-C200 (eg. BBC HD with Olympic games in 3D SBS) were correct. Has the last update 03-04-120517-21-POP-408-000 anything to do with it and what can I do? (The PCH-C200 is connected to a Samsung TV UE55D8000, and the Popbox V8 to a Samsung TV UE40D7000) |

RE: 3D problem with SBS and TAB
You need to either manually put your TV in 3D mode or name your files properly to have the PCH automatically set the TV to 3D mode.
Use moviename.3DSBS.mkv or moviename.3DTAB.mkv |

(popcornhour.com, support, article=1130) I have tried that allready, but it does not help. And like I said the 3D-view with the PopBox V8 is allright. |

RE: 3D problem with SBS and TAB
3D works fine on my C-200 to my Panasonic Plasma through a Yamaha AVR.

Maybe I misunderstand you, but my 3D problem (two images about 10 inches from each other) appears only when I play .iso and .mkv files with my PCH-C200. When I change the PCH-C200 to a Popbox V8 then the 3D image is fine. I suspect the firmware of the PCH-C200 because it appears after the last update, before the 3D image was good. Besides that, is it possible that the PCH-C200 hardware generates my problem? There is nothing wrong with 2D. |

RE: 3D problem with SBS and TAB
Your video mode isn't set to Auto, is it?

RE: 3D problem with SBS and TAB
It should not be.
Never set the video mode to Auto. Set it to the highest resolution your TV supports. |

It is vanished! ![]() To be sure, I checked everything with my brother before I put my 3D problem at this forum. I showed some pictures of the problem on Picasaweb, because it was easier to understand the problem. Absolutely nothing was changed then, but when I tried 3D once more it was working like it did before. I don’t believe in miracles, so there must be an explanation. An intermittent failure will happen again. I let you know.

RE: 3D problem with SBS and TAB
I'd recommend a few changes to your video settings.
Change Framerate Sync to NTSC/PAL/24 and change the Video Zoom to Fit-to-Screen Most movies are 24 frames per second and the Fullscreen zoom is cutting out a lot of the picture or distorting it. |
