Music - Android Frontend + NMT Backend?

Hi, whats the slickest solution to set up a Music Jukebox with Android front end, that runs on NMT.

Ideally
- No intermediate PC or can use a server application running on Linux based NAS.
- Very slick GUI - playlists , shuffle, simple search.
- No need for TV to be on to navigate.

The GUI is most important, it must be easy to build up playlists whilst playing etc etc.

Hi Lordy,

i use an Android Apk called 'BubbleUPnP' to controll all music from all network devices
and use the c-200 as render (playing) device.

I think it's not exactly what you are looking for but it's worth a try.

+ save playlists (only 1 or 2 in free version, but enough to find out, if it fits your needs)
+ search thru your media
i think it's even got a coverflow (if covers are saved near the albums)

does mpd have an android frontend? that might be the easiest to get going.

I use Mpdroid for android and mpd server running in the c-200. I can do what you are asking for.

Hi Lordy. I am curious of what solution you chose in the end? I need something wich will enable me to start music both from a windows laptop and my android phone on myA-210. My previous experience with mpd on my old a-100 is not so good...
