Dutch Uitzending gemist app - GemistvoorNMT

I have just submitted the first version of the GemistvoorNMT app to the 'App Market'. I hope it will be availabe soon.

This should make "Uitzending Gemist" available for 300 series users.

"Uitzending gemist" ("Missed Episode") is the possibility to watch TV episodes on the websites of the various dutch broadcasters. This app makes it possible to watch (a selection of) these on the NMT.

For 100 and 200 I already have a website available for some years now (http://www.gemistvoornmt.nl that offers a richer user interface. For a NMT to fully utilyze it, a 'proxy' service should be installed on a PC on the users local lan.

The nice thing about the new app is that this version works without the need for this MMSProxyService to be installed,
however if MMSProxyService is installed and running (version 1.4.3 or higher) quallity for soms programs is somewhat better.

The app is based on the 'app template'.

The menu shows lists for 'today' and 'yesterday' and lists for the various broadcasting companies (NPO, RTL and so on)



This version however has its limitations:
- There is no search facility
- The programs available are from Publieke Omroep, RTL4578, SBS/Net5/Veronica, Sport1, EredivisieLive and Nickelodeon.
- Only free programs or fragments are available.

Known bugs:
- EredivisieLive uses RTMP (only when MMSproxyService is not installed, otherwise the proxy supplies the NMT with a m2ts feed). On my C-300 RTMP doesn't work properly. The video appears only for a second or so and the show continues with just audio. My guess this is a bug in the NMT.
- MP4's from RTL, SBS en Sport1 do not play well with the C-300 latest firmware. Either stay with the july 2012 update or install MMSProxyService.

I gather it's an exception that a 'user' created an app then?

Any idea how long the approval takes? (Since there aren't that many apps.. shouldn't it be lightning fast?)

approval should be like 48 hours or so. and are handled by the US office. So they have only been to work today starting 4 hours ago or so.

approval should be like 48 hours or so. and are handled by the US office. So they have only been to work today starting 4 hours ago or so.

are you sure you submitted it fully? there's 1 step to upload it, than antoher button to hit when you want syabas to look at it to add it.

Yes I pressed the submit button.. Status = submitted..

it's hard to try it myself to see if that's the right status, I just remember once to send it up and then the button changes and oyu have to go in again to tell syabas to check it. You can test app market on your player (add your mac address to the dev site) without syabas being involved and then you have to signal them when it's ready for them to approve.

Thanks, I have done all that. The app is already running on the C300 I got from IDBL (dutch importer), and as a seperate step I invoked the submit process (And got the warning about not being able to change the app during the submit process)

I took the liberty to place the menu.xml on my website instead of in the app so I can add/modify menu items..

The app has been approved and is available now.

Please be noted that not all programs are viewable from other countries then the Netherlands.
This is due to rights issues and this policy is applied by the original broadcasters..

Is your screen small with everything on the PCH or just the App? What kind of PCH do you have?

how do I get the bigger picture I see now a small picture in the television ps good work the app I am very happy with it

Urm.. Haven't got a clue.. try changing the TVMode? Anyone?
