Router/Switch/external HD
Hello,
I'd like to place my external HD in the same space as my router is. Thing is; the router doesn't recognize USB-connected HD's. So i connected the router with a switch (wired) and connected the switch with the external HD (USB) I'm not able to share anything on the HD but my popcorn sees the HD through "network browser" - "network name router" - "name router" - "folder name" After that > No workgroup found Is there anyone who has a similar situation running ? With different hardware maybe ? I have a Cisco Router and a Belkin Switch Popcorn is my old A110 (C-200 is in repair) |

RE: Router/Switch/external HD
There are similar units that are more up to date from most of the router makers also. Not sure on the price though. I don't know too many using the usb adapters or usb drive directly on a router though. Perhaps you'll luck out and somoene doing this will recommend what they personally use.
