A-300 1Gb network?
Can anybody confirm of the 1Gb LAN network on A-300 (firmware from 17.06.12). I've got A-300 connected by cat5 cable to D-Link DGS-105 (Gigabit switch) which recognizes the player as 10/100BT only.
In Setup menu the Ethernet Configuration set to Auto. I guess something wrong happens during ethernet negotiation procedure on the player side. A300 +Component/Optical out +NMT@USBflash -Jukebox |

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
I can confirm it works with other brand switches. I can also pass on the info that I've never read a thread of someone saying dlink worked for them and lots of people posting like yourself with it not working. There's just something with that brand.

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
Yep you have two of the main causes of problems with a switch. First Dlink and second a green switch.
Search the forum for dlink and you may find a thread or post with some suggested settings. There is a list of switches that users have got to work on the 200 and 300 series on the WIKI. The 200 stuff works on the 300: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...r.2FSwitch http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...r.2FSwitch and the 300: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...r.2FSwitch A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
Green isn't so bad on the 300s.. the 200s with green issues seems to be solved with a longer than needed cable, not really sure it's much of a solution since that length cable could be more than just swapping the switch

Thanx accident, 1.5m cable vs 0.4m solves the problem.

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
thanks for the update. If you could, can you come back in a week or two and let us know how the dlink works out. dlink is a brand that nobody got to work reliably before, especially when set to auto.

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
Hi all,
I've got my A300 about 5 months now, and it defenitly is not a 1Gb ethernet controller. As bcom says...in Setup / Network /Advanced / ethernet configuration, it only shows Auto or 10/100Mbps. Even when I connect it to my Linksys(Cisco) SE2800 Gigabit switch with a cat6 cable. Doesn't chance a bit. My modem/router is a Fritz!Box 7360 (also Gigabit). And my files or stored at a Diskstation DS211+ (also Gigabit). All working like a charm. But not the PCH. Even on the packaging box of the PopCornHour it is marked as 10/100Mbps! And I've read before buying in magazines and reviews it should be a 1Gbps ethernet controller. ![]() And for me, I'm very dissappointed in the PopCornHour. And not only for this reason!! ![]() greetings |

RE: A-300 1Gb network?
I don't have internal hd yet, external Verbatim 2T USB3 only. So, file transforming performance on USB2 port of an A-300 may drop dramatically.
If the Dlink switch recognizes 1Gb network I can see: eth0: link up, 1000Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0xC5E1 and if not eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0xC5E1 Any idea about standard network performance test? Different ftp clients shows different results depending on own overhead and file size. A300 +Component/Optical out +NMT@USBflash -Jukebox |
