a-110 HDD problems

Just yesterday my A-110 stopped playing and avi file half way through and crashed, I reset the machine and now it wont recognise that there is any content on the drive.

I figured the drive might be on its way out so i've plugged it into my pc, drive is recognised but I can't assign it a drive letter in order to try and check it out. Next I thought I would try re formatting it in the NMT, I have the NMT apps on a USB stick but upon selecting the NMT wizard I simply get "request cannot be processed", the same occurs on selecting reset to factory settings.

I'm a little stumped at the moment, any advice?

Format in pc Ntfs and try again

I was hoping to do so but I can't seem to assign it a drive letter or format it, although the pc drive manager recognises there is a drive there

Try downloading g parted and see if it recognises in there

No problem u can run it from USB on pc

All resolved!

I swapped out one of my PC HDD into the PCH and it happily formatted and added NMT apps, with the old drive now in my PC I simply had to delete the partitions to start it again, cant believe I forgot that considering my DOS days!
