RE: Nmj navigator will it come to c200
I already showed my absolute disappointment in my own thread that my trusty C200 will not get the benefits from this wonderful new development, an original Syabas app.
If Werner or anybody else from Syabas is reading this please know two things: 1. I'm willing to pay something for it if that's what it takes for you to make it compatible with my PCH C200. As other users have stated, I will NOT be buying a newer device though, just for this app. 2. If it's really a matter of "power", please make a trimmed-down version of it for C200. I really don't need a fancy Jukebox presentation on my iPad. I don't even use that on my TV. What I DO need is to be able to browse my music collection on my iPhone (or iPad). Just plain, simple and stable. Of course there are third party apps, such as Teo Emmanuel's, but it's just not very stable. So, good people of Syabas, have a heart and make (something like) this work on our trusty C200's. We've been loyal to you all these years, and our machines are just as great as they ever were. Please don't treat them as obsolete. You're Syabas, for christ's sake, ... not Apple ; ) |

RE: Nmj navigator will it come to c200
I've made the same suggestions on the support part of popcornhour.com
I'm very disappointed to hear that they won't be implementing NMJ Navigator for my PCH-200. Once again, if anybody from Syabas is reading this: would you please consider adding a browsing menu to mobile RC? It's a great remote, but I want to see the music folders I'm scrolling through. I really don't need a flashy navigator, but please give us, humble PCH200 owners, a decent remote tool. |

But sadly this is not how business works. If you give your old product the latest tricks, then who would want to buy the new products ! Who's then going to pay for the upkeep of this site ? Personally I was sold on the tricks that it performed when I bought it, Thank you omertron et al. Have you not found PWRC ? This sounds like what you may be looking for. I believe it's still available for free on sphinx soft's website |

Thanks for your reply, Warden.
Well, obviously at some time "new tricks" like a flashy jukebox on your iPad will stop being compatible with older hardware. But they sure can bring a basic browsing functionality to their simple mobileRC app. I mean, NMT remote and the PopcornHour app by Achemy have this functionality, but these apps lack in other aspects. I haven't found PWRC, but I'm using un-jailbroken Apple hardware, so if it's not in the App store, it's probably of no use to me. Or is it? |

Google
"Pwrc sphinx soft" Just tried it, was top of the page on google. Download from there.... instructions on the same page, although I've put it straight onto the main drive (root). Navigate to it on screen, press install. Access all the folders via any browser. It's a fantastic, simple, and free, Very kind of them ! I've navigated to my music folder, and created a desktop shortcut on my android phone, and tablet Quick access to all music ! Obviously you need to go into pch settings and make IP static. |

Well, I got a poll on a related subject. You might like it http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...#pid594887
And sorry if I dismissed your idea about PWRC. Obviously it's easy to find, but at first glance I didn't think it would be something that would work on iOS. Apparently I was wrong. You use PWRC? Is it dependable? I've been using NMT remote app for some time, but I've lost interest in it because it loses connection to the PCH so often it takes away alle the joy. Now I use a combination of DS Audio, which streams music from my NAS to my iDevice, but can also stream it to my PCH, and mobileRC, to turn the PCH on and off, and it has a bit more functionality as a remote. I still can't get my head around the idea that Syabas can't make a decent browsing menu for its own remote app. But if you're happy with PWRC I'll give that one a try. |

I've looked at your poll, but don't think that it's relevant to my own needs.
My c200 does exactly what I bought it for, and then some... Although I wouldn't say no to navigator, or a derivative of. |

RE: Nmj navigator will it come to c200
L.S.,
I was really hopeful when I learned about your way to remote control my PCH with PWRC, but I just can't get it to work. I downloaded the files, unpacked them, put them on a USB-stick, opened in my PCH. After that you get a white screen asking where you have the executable files. Options are USB A, USB B, Hard disk, Satadisk. I run my device without a hard disk, since it streams everything from my NAS. I do however have a USB stick always plugged in. However, when I put the (new) USB stick in there with the PWRC-software on it, it won't start on any of the aforementioned choices. It just says my request can't be granted (or something, I have to translate from Dutch). Am I doing something wrong? Can you help me make this work? All of this would not have been necessary if Syabas had the decency to make mobileRC a usable app... |
