No the only ripping app is for CD to FLAC.

The trouble is there is still a reasonable amount of processing required to decode the AACS keys, even without re-encoding the video, which is probably a stretch too far for the little processor in the PCH.
The main problem is the legality though. Even if you're legally allowed to have backups for your own personal use it can be illegal to have or to distribute software to get to that point in the first place depending on where you're geographically situated since it has to crack the keys. That's one of the reasons AnyDVD, DVDFab, etc. are developed in and distributed from places where they feel they have the law on their side, and customers who download the software assume the risk themselves. So it would be pretty tricky for Syabas to put something in the App Store, even if someone had written it already. Thoughts on Syabas support? Share them here |
