USB3 thumb drive works
Just to say I am using a transcend USB3.0 jetflash 700 16gb usb stick inside the C300 with NMT installed and media set to the stick and it works well.
I know the C-300 isn't USB3.0 but I thought the intereface of the USB3.0 stick would prevent any bottle necks (rather than trying to find a fast USB2.0 stick). The only trouble I have is the internal HDD still has NMT installed and it's causing a hiccup if I leave the drive in. Is there anyway to clear the NMT install and format the internal HDD drive to EXT3 (it has no real data other than some test files) while inside the C300 without re-installing a duplicate NMT onto it? C-300, Transcend USB3.0 16gb, Sony BC 5550H, Samsung Spin Point F4 2TB. |

RE: USB3 thumb drive works
No.
Unless you take the HDD SATA lead and connect it to a PC. Then boot with a Linux Boot CD and you should then be able to do what you want with the HDD still connected. Assuming your HDD SATA lead is not long enough to connect to your PC then you'll need to use this guide:- http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...DD_to_Ext3 A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |
