RE: C-200 goes black for a few seconds
I share your frustration. My LG Bluray player that I paid only $90 for plays same files, using same HDMI cable without any problem, without me having to adjust anything...
Anyway, sometimes matching the setting to your TV specs may not work. For example, my projector is capable of 24fps but when I set the C-300 Video setting to 1080p/24 it was not stable (blackout happened). So if you hadn't tried it, I'd suggest video setting 1080p/60hz, framerate sync: NTSC/24 or PAL/NTCS/24 which seems to be the most stable setting. What happen now on my side is that C-300 plays movies without blackout but it struggles (blackout) when it's at home page, not perfect but acceptable. |

I looked up the specs on my tv and this is what it said about HDMI: "To display a 1080p/60Hz signal format, you will need a Category 2 cable. Conventional HDMI/DVI cable may not work properly. This input is designed to accept HDCP." I just ordered a Cat 2 cable. I will post my findings after I get it later this week. |

RE: C-200 goes black for a few seconds
Ok, so I got the Cat2 HDMI cable and that did not help. However, I did try switching from 1080P 60Hz to 1080i 60Hz and the blackouts seem to have stopped. I thought I had tried this setting already but I guess not. Anyway, I made it through an entire Grateful Dead concert and 2 episodes of Game of Thrones without a single blackout. That is approx 5 hours of viewing. I am going to give it a few more days and if no more happen I will officially consider it solved. Thanks everyone for your help!!

thanks for the input !
I am going to use this setting too. Can we conclude this is a c200 hardware fail ? |

RE: C-200 goes black for a few seconds
Out of interest, when you get the blackout during playback, does sound continue to play OK?

RE: C-200 goes black for a few seconds
Not the same as I had then (which was fixed by enabling frame sync).
