RE: [C-300] Firmware 05-02-121116-23-POP-420 (05-02-111220-23-POP-420) (30.11.2012)
Quick question in regards to the rebuild of the database after the firmware upgrade. My C-300 requested whether I would like to rebuild the database and I reply yes. It then appears to proceed with the rebuild and a progress screen appears. Once the progress screen gets to about 3/4 finished the video signal is lost and its difficult to determine whether there is any progress occurring with the rebuild. Does anybody know how long it should take? I've got approx. 2000-3000 videos in my database. It's been about 10-15mins and no video signal has returned yet. I guess I'll wait to see whether the rebuild completes but will assume if nothing appears after an hour that I've got something wrong with the database. Anybody else have any feedback on this matter? Thanks in advance.

Look inside the nmj_database folder if there is only media.db, then it's finished and just power cycle. If there is a second temporary database file then it's still working. you can refresh the folder in a couple minutes and if that temp file isn't getting larger than it's crashed. you can turn off the pch and try it again. it migth be related to the screen saver so maybe disabling it the next attempt is wise. this is a guess based on how long you said before it blanked.

The auto update screen came on after I turned on the C300 so I decided to accept it and it ran to completion. Running a BD folder now as a test.

The update is still either running or frozen. I've checked the nmj-database folder and I've to both the media and media_temp files. They are currently the same size and its been about 65mins since I started the update. Got a sneaky suspicion that there might be a db corruption or something :-(
Will let it run another hour but am not to optimistic.

If the update doesn't complete normally I'll reboot the unit and try updating the db on the local drive where I have my movie videos. The db that I'm trying to update currently is my db containing my TV videos on my NAS.

screen woudln't go blank for that. it makes a new temp db file, deletes the old when done and renames the temp. if both are there, your original is still fine.

Was able to update my local DB (much smaller) but looks like the DB on my NAS is either going to take a longtime to complete or its kaput. Am going to let the unit run overnight and see whether it completes. If it doesn't complete looks like I'll have no other choice but to delete the DB and start over :-(
The only other solution I suppose would be to revert back to the old firmware but would rather not do that.

I only use this for audio and here is what I found:

• Did a rebuild of the db and screwed up all of the thumbnails. The large image is correct but the thumbnail is for a different album.

• I like the alphabetic search for artist but it only shows the artists that start with that letter. I thought it would jump to that letter but still let you scroll through all of the artists.

• You cannot do a full search by artist - you must pick a single letter always.

• Not all of the letters for artists appear in the search even though I have albums from artists with every letter but X.

I would also like a feature added where you could save your preferences. I always search by artist and have to change it each time.

RE: [C-300] Firmware 05-02-121116-23-POP-420 (05-02-111220-23-POP-420) (30.11.2012)
I upgraded to this firmware tonight using the firmware upgrade function on the C300 itself. Coming from the 21-02-2012 firmware the device first upgraded to the 12-09-2012 firmware. After rebooting I ran the upgrade utility again to get this firmware. I subsequently upgraded the NMT apps. The problem I ran into is that my 3TB Seagate Barracuda sata disk in the C300 isn't listed anymore under 'Local Drives'. The only devices shown are the 2GB flash drive and the LG Bluray drive. Any advice to solve this would be very much appreciated. For the record: the drive was properly detected and working fine under the 21-02-2012 firmware.

c300 with internal HDD.
I updated firmware, after update it asked me:
Your database is out of date. Do you want to restructure your database?
I answer yes. It show Restructuring and a progress bar. It took few min.
After that I can't access nmj or a nmj manager. When I chose it, nothing happens and system seems to be waiting on something. I can only press source on the remote

On the HDD i have in nmj_database folder:
[media]
media.db
media_1_9.db

Anyone knows how to clean this? Can I wipe out entire nmj database and recreate it?
When I deleted the nmj_database folder it asked me if I want to create new one but then nothing happens.

Guys, do you have any suggestions?
