is available for update.

Goto Setup->Maintenance->Check for firmware update

Install Instruction

Quote:1. Unzip and copy all files into the root of a USB thumbdrive
2. Plug the USB thumbdrive into the NMT
3. Browse to the USB device and use the File Icon to browse to usbupdate.html
4. Press Enter on usbupdate.html, and another Enter on the listed firmware update link.
5. Firmware update will commence and will automatically reboots after done.
6. After NMT boots up with new firmware, please start the NMT setup wizard which you will find in the Setup under Maintenance.
7. Follow through the steps and select to update from USB.
8. NMT applications update will commence and will automatically reboots after it is done.
9. Final step we recommend is to reset the player to Factory Defaults, select this option in Setting > Maintenance.
10. Firmware and NMT applications update is completed at this point

DVD Region Setting:
1.) Insert an DVD Disc which has the Region you wanna setup, if the Region is not the same as the Disc has, it wont work!

I used to flash immediately but release notes shows me nothing I could use.
And if it breaks something ?
Did I lose my confidence after 3 years of high hopes ? YES.

Because without those AAC keys your player would stop playing the bd stuff because it is not having a valid license.

Apart from that ; yes it is a long wait for a real update ....

I am disappointed that some promised features are still not available like auto selection of output colour space between SD and HD and the ability to turn off upscaling so that an external device can do it, and equally disappointed that some confirmed bugs have not been touched.

I bought a BD player as I could never get an approved BD-ROM drive to work successfully on every movie so this release is redundant as far as I am concerned. At least I don't have to worry about something breaking during the upgrade process.
