720p for all but the animated stuff.

Oh and for legal reasons I have to say that I record all my own tv shows, and use them for timeshifting purposes only.

(I don't download anything from usenet)

No, season two begins in early September. Trailers and promos are already out and they are re-broadcasting season 1 right now.
