Probably, .... maybe, .. usually, .... but we'll need to know alot more info about your system, .. and what you entered on the export screens...

plus the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number!!

If you haven't gotten your PCH playing movies ... BEFORE you ran the "My Lil MOvie Jukebox" software, .. then you're NOT going to have much luck here.
Get your PCH up and playing movies 'manually' using the text screens with your remote FIRST, ... then come back here.

I suspect this anyway. ... sorry if I'm wrong.

No Allen, movie plays fine when i use the NMT.
It's something in the path of the script u made.
Where can i set it's a SMB share? Can you send me an example of a map u have on your PC that u share true SMB and whats that name and path and...

PS Playing from the internal Hard drive is fine!

Your share should look something like this, I believe,... w/ one colon instead of two.

first of all thenks for developing a wonderfull feature for the popcorn!!


i have a problem with the setup.
The script is running fine, but the setup does not change any filters in MoC

what can i be doing wrong?

i have deleted all old filter i had before
i have tried with MoC open and closed and nothing happens

On my system, I have Internal Hard Drive, and then use NFS as well to a QNAP box..... they both work just fine.

After you posted, I thought I'd try the SMB just to make sure nothing has changed since Rev3 .... And DAMN if it's not working now!!!

Anyway, something has changed, .. so I'll try and track the lil Bugger down, then post back here.

NO ERRORS, ... just a mis-key on my part!
Not really!, but I did find one item, ... that needs to be mentioned:



When you're entering media location variables, .. make sure that you do NOT leave a space at the end.

Also, you MUST "Mount" the SMB share by first Navigating to the SMB share, ... manually, start one movie, then exit. THEN, you can run the Movie Jukebox.

So, in a nutshell, here's what I did:

Put a movie on my G: hard drive in a folder called Video
I Shared the G:\video folder on my system.
I went to the PCH and did Network Share setup, ADD, browsed over to my share, .. clicked oK On the Source Screen it shows ALLEN:G DRIVE

Then when I ran the Jukebox Export program, .. I entered ...
file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/ALLEN:G DRIVE/Video/


And it worked like a charm!

If you gave the share a name....such as Media

then your path would be

Technically no.
The jukebox was designed to work with the PCH, however it's not really
limited to that only.

So during the EXPORT process, if you specified the output directory and
use that laso as your real files, you just need to make sure that MoC
has the proper location links assigned for where the movie is actually located,
be that on the local PC, or NAS, or another LAN PC.

For that reason, you could use this on an HTPC instead of the PCH.
On the PCH while browsing or selecting your source, you would either
go to the share where the index.htm is found, or use myihome for streaming.
