My TV cannot handle any of the surround sound formats and my receiver cannot take HDMI. So the TV gets HDMI audio and the receiver gets optical. I have the same problem, my receiver doesn't have HDMI, so the tv should get the sound from the HDMI-cable... so I could use the PCH without using the receiver... but that's no-no.
I would also really like to use BOTH at the same time (2 ch stereo for the tv and 5.1 for the receiver). My center-speaker is crap, so I would like to use the TV-sound as support...

Please add this function in the next FW!
