sound problem

I just bought the NMT 110 and am having sound problems. I have copied dvd's to an external drive that is connected to a network that is ethrnet. When I try to play the movie I hear the first few seconds of sound but then nothing. I have tried both HDMI and composite audio and video. Any suggestions. Thanks

How do we return this product. The company does not respond and the invoice says that it came from China. I am afraid that I am stuck.

Can you put the output of your pch on 720p and try if the dvd works then? Here it was solved like that.

I did that and now the unit will not work at all. I have reset it twice and I get nothing after it says it is loading. I have had enough. I just want to return this but the company does not respond to me.mark

Here's a few things to try whilst you wait:

Remove any HDD
Try a DVD ISO rather than video_ts folder.
Assuming you are connected via HDMI then try the press 'tvmode' once and release, wait 2 secs press '7'. Do this after 5 mins of power to the PCH.
Assuming you then try composite (yellow CVBS socket) and 'tvmode' wait 2 secs '0'
Assuming you can ping try:-

Change video setting to one your TV supports via the way you are connected.
