Yet another MovieJukebox without internal popcorn HDD ?

hi,
i have all my movies on a big NAS server and can access them over CIFS or NFS from the popcorn without problems.
Their for and because of the noice of the HDD I dont want have a HDD inside the popcorn.

But during my test with MovieJukebox I found out that the links, in the details pages, only work if you have installed a hdd inside the popcorn (were i think a webserver in installed and must must be running).

Is it possible to run the needed popcorn webserver without internal hdd (from network share would be best) ?

Or in other words is their any way to us Yet another MovieJukebox without internal popcorn HDD (with working "play Movie" links inside MovieJukebox ) ?

YAMJ works just fine without a HDD installed in the PCH.

You must update your moviejukebox.properties file or libraries.xml file to have the correct path to the videos.

If you are using a libraries.xml file (because you have multiple shares), this is specified in the nmtpath for each library.

Otherwise, set the nmtRootPath in moviejukebox.properties

i have a working moviejukebox.properties
YAMJ is working right now (with the internal HDD) but the links look like this
file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/CIFS-HD1/HD/move123.mkv

what i mean is the "sybhttpd" inside the link !

Everytime when i click a link to a movie (located on the NAS) the now installed HDD spins up (I hate that moment) and after some minutes the HDD stops again.
Now i look for a solution without have a HDD installed !

Did you map your NAS drive as CIFS-HD1 on your PCH? You must add it as a network share before the links will work.
Is the name of the share exactly the same in the link as you defined it on the PCH? The case must match exactly.
Also, you must manually navigate to the share once after booting up your PCH before the link will work.

Yes. I mount my NAS drive as CIFS-HD1 and I think we have some misunderstanding.
Again: Right now i have a working jukebox (on a usb stick) and everithing is working (also the links) but right now i also have a interal HDD installed (only initialized with the popcorn internal files. Nothing else stored on it)

now i want do the same without the internal HDD !

You have to get YAMJ to rebuild the html files so the links in them point to the network share instead of the USB stick or internal drive.

If you've already done that, and are just concerned that you hear the drive spin up, don't worry. The PCH will use the drive for caching/buffering if it is present but isn't required.

The fact that the link has the "sybhttpd" and "localhost.drives" in it doesn't mean that an internal drive is needed. The links are the same whether or not an internal drive is present. Take the drive out and try it.

I was confused reading somewere that the internal webserver is only running with internal HDD installed and the "sybhttpd" inside the links.

what features of the popcorn is missing without a internal HDD (bittorrent,?) and did someone found a way to rum this "internal HDD only features" from a share, usb, ... (I dont want install a HDD inside the popcorn)
